Dr. Taha Kass-Hout, MD, MS, is the Global Chief Science and Technology Officer of GE HealthCare and an acclaimed innovator at the intersection of healthcare and technology. Merging his background in interventional cardiology with machine learning, he's driving advancements in AI-based medical imaging and diagnostics at GE HealthCare.

His previous role at Amazon as Vice President/Distinguished Engineer of Health AI and Chief Medical Officer saw him spearhead pivotal health tech projects, including Amazon HealthLake, Amazon Comprehend Medical, and Amazon Pharmacy. He also played a critical role in establishing Amazon's diagnostic lab during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before his tenure at Amazon, Dr. Kass-Hout was the first Chief Health Informatics Officer at the U.S. FDA, where he championed data transparency through initiatives like openFDA and precisionFDA.
